Everything You Need to Join Our Dental Family
Our dentists and team members are honored that you’re considering Deerfield Valley Dental Care for all your dental needs. As you prepare for your appointment, we do recommend that you take a look at our new patient information page below so you can be better prepared. This includes expectations to maintain for your first visit, patient forms you’re able to fill out, and information on financing. You’re also welcome to give us a call if you have any concerns or questions you need answered.
Your First Visit
Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, and high-quality dental care. We understand that you or your child may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing the best care possible.
During your first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information, such as your dental and medical history, take X-rays of your teeth and mouth. Then one of our doctors will meet with you to discuss your X-rays, help you create your own individual treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have.
At your next visit, a hygienist will clean and polish your teeth, and inspect your teeth and gums for cavities or early signs of tooth decay or gingivitis.
We understand you have a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing to visit one of our offices, please remember your appointments can last between 45 and 90 minutes.
We look forward to your first visit.
New patient forms allow our dentists to learn more about your medical history and any medications you are currently taking that could influence your future treatments. This makes it easier for our team to personalize your care and understand your oral health needs. For convenience, you can even download the forms from our website directly, print them out, and complete them at home to save time at your future appointment!
Dental insurance can help mitigate many of the costs of dental care, especially preventive treatments. Our practice is in network with Delta Dental and accepts all PPO dental insurance plans. We will gladly submit charges for services with your insurance carrier directly. Please provide us with your insurance plan information PRIOR to your first visit. Patients are responsible for all deductibles, co-pays, and shares at the time services are rendered. We’ll work with you so that the maximum benefits to which you are entitled are received. Please contact us with any changes to your insurance.
Those who do not have dental insurance will find third-party financing options like CareCredit to be a reasonable alternative solution to cover dental care costs. With little-to-no interest attached to your monthly payments and multiple plans that allow you to pay for care over several months, managing your dental treatments into almost any budget is possible! Ask us about financing your care through CareCredit at your next visit and we’ll guide you through the process.
